SECRETS OF THE WHITE LOTUS

The order of the white lotus was always supposed to stay a secret. It wasn't until the world needed us that we exposed ourselves. For many years, the order was just a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to notion of uniting the four nations through shared knowledge and kinship. We shared our experience and path to enlightenment, and we expanded our duties to include the protection and training of the avatar for the good of all mankind, in this world and the next

When we were smaller, we used games of Pai Sho as a cover for sharing information with one another, but as our membership grew, we developed more involved symbols and codes using the Pai Sho tiles. We were able to plan and strategize together in full public view, and most people never even knew we existed!

As Grand Lotus, I was responsible for leading as needed, and I alone could summon the Order of the White Lotus and assemble its members for battle. King Bumi, Piandao, Jeong Jeong, and Pakku were all fierce warriors of the Order. We were at our very best when we were all together, which made the defection of Xai Bau and the member of his Red Lotus Faction all the more heartbreaking

While they had lofty goals to reconnect the Spirit World with our physical world, their aversion to any government of any kind always seemed so childish to me and against the very tenets that first brought us all together

In the future, I hope that the Red Lotus and the White Lotus will reunite and evolve into something new, something better. Maybe they will become something bigger, an army, keeping the good of the people, the Avatar, and the world at heart.
